Hello my fellow DIY-ers, Mommies to be, and lovers of design!!!
I am super excited to add a new post to L to L's "Favorite Spaces" page! This is a page I've designated for featuring a combination of my favorite designs of both my friends and a few of my "for hire" jobs. I wanted to devote a page to focus on particular rooms that I love, whether it be my own work or the work of my dearest friends!
Today's post is about my friend Caroline's baby nursery that she and her husband did ALL by themselves! They are a sweet couple who just had their first baby a few months ago. They did not want to know the gender of the baby before delivery and therefore, needed to create a nursery that was very neutral. I LOVE the way their nursery turned out and kind of wanted to stay there to take a nap after I finished snapping these pictures because it was so serene and peaceful! They did an amazing job creating the perfect environment to welcome home their first baby without spending a ton of money or hiring anyone to do a single part of it!

The paint color on the wall is Pale Oak by Benjamin Moore. Caroline's husband painted this room himself, great way to save money! I'm adding this color to my list of "favorite whites" because it is divine!! Very calming, not too stark, cream white but not too bright, with a little bit of beige. Perfect color for a nursery! |

| The crib is from Pottery Barn Kids and it was a hand-me-down from Caroline's sister. It use to have a dark wood finish and she painted it with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in CoCo and sealed it with Clear Wax by Annie Sloan. The bedding was made by a very talented seamstress out of Cottage and Cabin's Shop on Etsy named Debbie Park. Caroline sent her the net bumpers that she purchased at Target (love these! also known as "pacifier net catcher") and Debbie sent her free fabric samples to chose from. Caroline decided to go with this oatmeal colored linen fabric and Debbie then sewed a ruffle around the top of the mesh bumpers to match the custom bed skirt she also made. These cream linen bows are also from Cottage and Cabin. |

| This glider is from a local store called The French Mix and it's made by the furniture line, Four Seasons. The style of this particular glider is called "Bailey", the color is called "Mitt", and the fabric is Linen. Every piece of Four Seasons furniture I've ever sat in has felt like sitting on a cloud! |

This cute lamb was a gift. (not sure where it's from?)
The pillow is from a local store called Melange by KP. |

| The curtains are white"black out drapes" from RH Baby & Child. They do actually block out the light from that window! SOOO necessary in a nursery, in my opinion! |

| This changing table was also a hand-me-down from her sister, originally purchased at Pottery Barn Kids. Caroline also painted it with ASCP in CoCo and also did a very light white wash over the CoCo with ASCP in Old White. Then she sealed it with clear wax to match the crib. |

| These baskets are from World Market but the white covers are from RH Baby & Child. She had initially measured the openings and ordered some baskets to fit from RH Baby & Child to match the laundry hamper (see below) but when they came in they didn't fit the opening! So, she pulled the covers off of the RH baskets, found some baskets that actually fit the openings from World Market, and put these covers on the new baskets. She wishes the RH baskets would have worked out to keep the wicker the same color, but I love the way they look! |

| This growth chart was a baby gift, purchased by one of her friends from a local store called Redoux Home Market. It hangs in the nursery next to the baby's closet. |

| Love this chandelier that hangs in the middle of the nursery! It's also from RH Baby & Child. Her husband removed the existing ceiling fan and installed this light fixture himself! (another great way to save money) |

| After delivery, Caroline purchased cream colored letters for their baby's name to hang over the crib from Oh Dier Living 's Shop on Etsy. They look great against this wall color (Pale Oak by BM), but I blurred them out for privacy reasons. |
I think it's safe to say that this nursery would give ANYONE baby fever!
